John's designs are deeply rooted in his unique relationship with the natural world and an unflagging commitment to superior craftsmanship and production techniques.
His embrace of the wild and organic qualities of wood is often juxtaposed with a precise and technically demanding use of glass and metal.
Cultured at an early age, spending his youth abroad in the Philippines, Great Britain, Iran, and Israel, John graduated with an Art History degree from Yale University. Early forays into professional photography and ceramic arts were featured in gallery exhibits and major publications.
John's furniture utilizes the basic elements of wood, glass and metal. Each piece is individually handcrafted and expertly finished to heighten and reveal the raw material's underlying splendor.
John currently works from his 900-acre mountain atelier in upstate New York, USA
