Heather is a contemporary designer and craftsman creating handcrafted work in glass.
Varied techniques including kiln-work, glassblowing and casting are all used to create these unique pieces.
The kilnforming process generally lends itself to open forms and lower shapes with softer profiles, as opposed to taller closed forms that can be achieved through glassblowing.
Because of these limitations in form - color, pattern and texture become key to the work. Heather practices restraint in her work opting for quieter patterns and toned down color pallets.
With a firm commitment to handmade processes, her aim is to design and create quality bespoke products for people who still demand well-crafted, handmade items in their homes.
Heather lives and works in San Francisco, California USA.
