Daniel Bellow is an artist who believes that things made by hand have a life of their own – a spirit – that speaks to what is human in all of us. This artistic ethos has informed Daniel’s designs – beautifully handcrafted porcelain pieces that he throws so that they show the influence of his wheel, hands and tools. Daniel mixes his own glazes, using clay dug up from the ancient bed of the Housatonic River. The result is a collection of pottery that boasts simple lines often highlighted by decorative ridges that pick up the glaze.
Daniel Bellow is based in Great Barrington, Massachusetts.
