Inspired by vernacular quilting tradition, contemporary textile artist Meg Callahan uses modern production techniques to create her distinctive line of blankets.
With an eye for composition and craftsmanship, Meg’s beautiful geometric patterned quilts are an artful addition to a room, as either a throw or a wall piece.
Raised in Oklahoma, Meg went on to study at the Rhode Island School of Design where she discovered her interest in the value of the handmade in contemporary life as well as the importance of a freshly sharpened pencil. Her genuine curiosity and passion for making is not only seeded in the decorative arts, but in all things in life.
Meg lives and works in Providence, Rhode Island.
