James Lethbridge is a UK-based glass artist who uses the fluid, organic aesthetic of molten glass to create bespoke chandeliers, sculptures and botanical glass that question traditional relationships between sculpture and lighting. Marrying a variety of techniques - primarily flame throwing and glassblowing - James designs pieces that provide admirers with a stunning interaction between glass and light.
Originally a ceramist, James in 2003 studied general glass techniques and technologies at the International Glass Center in Brierly Hill, West Midlands. Two years later, James was accepted into the Royal College of London in London. .
Since graduation, James quickly developed a reputation for his unique glass design and innovative techniques.
