Elissa Medina’s designs pays homage to the beauty of Mexican folk art. Her work is a contemporary take on traditional textiles and sculptures, and explores the limits between design, art and cultural identity.
Elissa graduated from Mexico’s CIDI-UNAM with a bachelor’s degree in industrial design and studied at the École Nationale Supérieure des Arts Décoratifs (ENSAD) in Paris.
Her work has been displayed at Mexico’s Franz Mayer and San Ildefonso museums, La Villa Noailles art center in Hyères, France and during Milan’s Fuori Salone
Elissa Medina is based in Mexico City, Mexico.
