ArteMare is a collection of artisanal beach accessories and equipment handcrafted in the United States and inspired by seaside locales from around the world.
Each of ArteMare’s beach racquets – inspired by the classically Americana look and feel of 1950s surfboards – is hand-made in California using hardwoods like American pine, teak, African mahogany and purple heart. Handles are wrapped in soft, genuine leather.
With a mutual passion for design and coastal living, company co-founders Quentin Smith and Alia Mansoori came together to create a lifestyle brand that embodies the feeling and energy that sun, sand and sea evoke. Natives of Southern California and New York City, respectively, Smith and Mansoori bring a diverse range of influences and experiences to ArteMare. The collection is equally influenced by Smith’s curatorial background at New York’s Smithsonian Cooper-Hewitt National Design Museum and Mansoori’s background as a journalist for publications such as Travel + Leisure, Teen Vogue, BBC Travel, and V Magazine.
Whether your travels lead you to the dunes of the Hamptons, the shade of a cabana in St. Tropez or sipping a caipirinha along Rio’s shores, ArteMare will add style and function to a day at the beach.
ArteMare is based in New York and San Diego.
